Ad for Carvel Open House

The University of Delaware's Carvel Research and Education Center in Georgetown invites farmers, certified crop advisors, and agriculture industry professionals to its annual Open House and Crop Tours on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

This year's event expands well beyond the traditional format: six crop-specific mini tours, presentation-style speakers under the main tent, expanded poultry education, and a general-public overview tour of farm research underway at the facility. Exhibitors will also be on site, reviving the atmosphere of Carvel's former Farm and Field Day.

Walking the plots during the growing season gives attendees a real-time look at field conditions and research results they can apply to their own crop planning and management decisions. No registration is needed.
