Southern Maryland Crops Conference and Dinner
University of Maryland Extension’s Southern Maryland Crops Conference brings farmers and ag professionals together for an evening of practical updates on the issues shaping the coming season, followed by a catered dinner. This year’s program covers strategies for managing herbicide-resistant weeds, the latest field crop insect and disease updates, where precision agriculture adoption stands, and current nutrient management and pesticide updates.
Attending fulfills the requirements for Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification and Nutrient Management Voucher Training, so it’s an easy way to stay current on your certifications while catching up with neighbors and Extension specialists.
Registration is $20 per person and includes dinner. Register by November 25 to make sure a dinner is saved for you. You can pay by mailed check or at the door with check, cash or credit card. Refunds aren’t available. For more information, call the Charles County Extension Office at 301-226-7500. If you need an accommodation to attend, contact Hayden Schug at hschug@umd.edu or 301-226-7502 by November 24.
