The sixth annual UMES Ag Showcase returns to the university's Research, Extension and Teaching Farm in Princess Anne on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with sessions running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year's program brings producers and farm service providers together around corn and soybean field trials using smart-farming technology, alternative crop research, precision agriculture tools and equipment, and soil health. Sessions are led by UMES Extension alongside Atlantic Tractor, Sentinel Robotics, University of Maryland Extension, and Future Harvest — including a drone demonstration and a walkthrough of the Maryland Soil Health Card and Rainfall Simulator.
Maryland attendees can earn up to 4 Nutrient Management credits and 8 pesticide CEUs in select categories; Delaware attendees can earn up to 3.5 NM credits for specific sessions. The event is free and includes lunch, but pre-registration is required.
