September 24, 2026 | Ellicott City, Maryland
Develop practical field scouting skills at the Maryland Crop Scouting School, a hands-on educational program hosted by University of Maryland Extension. Designed for farmers, crop consultants, Certified Crop Advisers, and agricultural service providers, this workshop focuses on improving field diagnostics and making informed crop management decisions using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
Participants will learn how to identify common insects, diseases, weeds, and other crop concerns in both row crop and vegetable production systems through interactive field exercises. By strengthening scouting techniques and early problem identification, attendees will be better equipped to make timely, effective management decisions throughout the growing season.
