Stream and Buffer Ecology Workshop
Stroud Water Research Center hosts the Stream and Buffer Ecology Workshop on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at their Avondale, Pennsylvania campus.
The workshop lays a foundation for understanding the role riparian forest buffers play in stream health, covering stream ecology, long-term restoration work in small watersheds, and current research on forest buffer establishment. Sessions include stream ecology and riparian forests, soil health, and research watersheds, followed by an afternoon outdoor tour of the meadow and restoration reaches of White Clay Creek drawing on 25 years of research.
Built for riparian buffer practitioners. Free including lunch, but space is limited and RSVP is required by Wednesday, October 14. Wear closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather.
